Nycti ‘Louvre’ explores the dialogue between organic matter and engineered precision.
First unveiled at the Salon du Patrimoine in October 2025, the work stands as an homage to French heritage and the enduring excellence of craftsmanship.
Wood, bearer of memory and time, meets the exacting precision of robotics in a carefully measured choreography. Here, artisanal mastery and advanced technology align at the same level of excellence, revealing a rare balance between tradition and innovation.
Through slow, restrained movement, the object transcends function to become a meditation on time, material, and motion, where art comes alive through movement.
SABELLI ‘Jalaja'
When science meets beauty
Inspired by Sabellidae, marine organisms whose movements are influenced by water flow and viscosity, this kinetic artwork translates underwater dynamics into the air.
Ostrich feathers, calculated to have the same Reynolds number as these organisms in their native environment, recreate the smoothness and resistance of aquatic flow. A precise robotic system animates the work in a slow, controlled choreography of ascent and descent, evoking the living rhythm of these animals. The finely crafted ostrich leather recalls the organic structure of the reefs on which the animal lives.
Presented for the first time at Design Mumbai in November 2025, the work embodies a dialogue between science, robotics and craftsmanship, inviting contemplation of nature through movement.
